If You Love Binge-Watching TV Series’, You Know This Drill

We girls love binge-watching our TV series’. With K-dramas, Netflix, dramas we’re late to watching… This is how we like to consume our TV today. The story is always the same – we start a series sometime in the evening, get hooked by the 3rd or 4th episode, keep telling ourselves ‘one more episode’, and then fight sleep until it’s 7am the next morning and we’re finally finished with the series.

Does this all sound very familiar? If it does, you’re probably a serial TV series binge-watcher and you’ll know this drill very well.

1. So far so harmless

It’s 8pm. You’ve got your yellow light on, you’re cozy in bed – let’s do this.

2. Oh, it’s midnight already

Oh wow, time flies. What’s it been, 4 episodes?

3. Ok, just one more episode

It’s 2 in the morning and there’s work/school tomorrow. You need the sleep.

4. I think there’s still time for one more…

5 hours left to sleep? You’ll do fine with 3.

5. Falling asleep… Need to move around…

You sit up or rearrange the stuff on your bed so you can prop yourself up. You question if you’re losing your touch – you’ve stayed up way later than this before, easily.

6. OMG?!? OK, I’M ALL WOKEN UP NOW.

OMG, WHAT THE HELL JUST HAPPENED? THAT DID NOT JUST HAPPEN. WHAT?! NEXT EPISODE. NOW.

7. I need to pee

You brace yourself for the bloodshot eyes you’ll see in the mirror, but you scare yourself anyway. Also, what a satisfying pee – you’ve been holding it in for awhile now.

8. 2 hours left… I think I’ll do fine without the sleep

I mean, how hard can it be?

9. Ok, time for work/school

7am. Rise and shine.

10. Zombie mode on

Abort mission, abort mission. I CANNOT do this.
